From their first serendipitous meeting to slow mornings and wild adventures, Sophie and Leo have built a life rooted in love, friendship, and way too many houseplants. Get to know the duo behind the ‘I do.’

Our Story

It All Began with a Road Trip

Sophie and Leo met during a last-minute road trip with mutual friends — a weekend filled with wrong turns, spontaneous playlists, and midnight talks under the stars. From the moment they laughed over the same terrible gas station coffee, something clicked.

From Strangers to Soulmates

What followed was a slow and steady love — the kind that grows in quiet moments and deep conversations. Whether hiking in the rain, dancing in the kitchen, or building a home filled with warmth (and way too many plants), every chapter brought them closer.

The Proposal

On a quiet morning walk through the botanical gardens — Sophie’s favorite place — Leo knelt beside a blooming orchid and asked the question that changed everything. It was simple, sincere, and perfectly them.

A Day to Celebrate Love

A weekend full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories awaits in the heart of Carmel Valley. Here's what we have planned:

✧ Ceremony

The ceremony begins at 4:00 PM at Holman Ranch. Surrounded by vineyards and the golden light of October, Sophie and Leo will exchange vows in front of the people they love most.

✧ Cocktail Hour

After the ceremony, enjoy signature drinks, light bites, and lawn games while the sun sets over the valley. It’s the perfect moment to mingle, relax, and take in the views.

✧ Dinner & Dancing

Dinner begins at 6:30 PM under twinkling lights. Expect delicious food, heartfelt toasts, and a full dance floor. Whether you’re a two-stepper or a freestyle legend — come ready to move.

✧ Sparkler Send-Off

Around 10:00 PM, we’ll light up the night with a sparkler send-off to close the evening with a little magic.

Travel & Accommodations

Getting There

Carmel Valley is about 2 hours south of San Francisco and just under an hour from San Jose. For the easiest trip, we recommend flying into Monterey Regional Airport, which is only 25 minutes from the venue.

Getting Around

Uber and Lyft can be limited in the area, so renting a car is a good idea if you're flying in. We’ll also have a shuttle running between the venue and our suggested hotel on the day of the wedding.

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Carmel Valley Lodge — just mention “Sophie & Leo Wedding” when booking for a discount. Looking for something more luxe? Check out Bernardus Lodge & Spa just down the road.
